Pauline’s DANCING profile

I started learning ballroom in my teens, and started learning rock ‘n’ roll and line dancing in 1994. I taught children from 5 -18 yrs old, for 9 years for the Westland Rock ‘n’ Roll Club  in Greymouth, New Zealand. I also went into various schools and taught rock ‘n’ roll and line dancing for short terms. I took part in competition dancing from 1996. I was in a Can-Can troupe for a year (who also did line dances), entertaining for functions.  I did Salsa for a year and did a little Ceroc.

I moved to the Gold Coast of Australia in 2005 and have LOVED the lifestyle I have here.  For Wintersun 2009 I teamed up with Dave Gera and taught a workshop (drops and props). I’ve done a few competitions here, and I have made so many lovely friends in the dancing scene, and look forward to making many more. I have a lot of patience, which is why I enjoy doing private lessons.  I’ve also enjoyed being guest teacher for Heartbeat a couple of times.

I was Treasurer for the Gold Coast Rockers 2010-2011, and am now on the Social Committee.

In September/October 2010 I was asked to judge dancing competitions which I enjoyed.

I was a Rock ‘n’ Roll Teacher with Michael Asma on the Cruise Ship “Rhapsody of the Seas” in April 2011, which was great fun.

In November 2011 I have rejoined the committee of Gold Coast Rockers, as entertainment officer, responsible for booking the bands, and organiser of demos.
