Hi Guys & Gals,
We hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year and have settled into 2012, looking forward to a bigger and better Cooly Rocks On in June!!!!
For those of you who check out our Facebook page you will already know that The Atomic Hi Tones are locked in as one of our Headline bands and will be rockin Cooly Rocks On like never before. Remember to keep an eye on our Facebook page for all of the ‘breaking news’ relating to everything, Cooly Rocks On, as that is where you’ll see it first.
This year’s program will be jam packed with all of your favourites from last year along with some bands that have not played at the festival previously.
Also this year we have reduced the ticket prices, so if you go online and book the early-bird tickets most will be under $20. Stay tuned for ticket release dates.
On the car entry front we have had an overwhelming response. In the six weeks since we opened the online entries we have already received in excess of 600 registrations! Zones are filling fast, so if you haven’t already registered your pride and joy jump on to the Cooly Rocks On website and make it happen, we would hate you to miss out as some did last year.
That’s about all from us for now, so until next month when we announce the winner of the Tee-Shirt comp and release more information about who is performing at Cooly Rocks On this year, Keep smiling and see you in June!
KIRRA BEACH SURF PRECINCT
Cooly Rocks On is excited to announce the addition of a new surf precinct within this years festival.
The Kirra Beach Surf Precinct will come alive with surf themed music, cars, stalls and even outdoor movies during the festival which will run from June 1-11 this year.
In an exciting addition to the land based entertainment on offer, festival CEO Bob Newman has also announced the addition of a unique invitational surfing contest which will run the weekend after the traditional Old Malibu Surf Competition at Kirra during the festivities.
Free Sausage Sizzle for Coffee & Cars Group!
Cooly Rocks On invites you to become part of the Coffee and Cars group which meets each month to cruise the region and catch up with other local car enthusiasts for a morning coffee.
As a special event for Cooly Rocks On Shannons has kindly invited the Coffee and Cars group up to their Queensland office in the West End for a free sausage sizzle and a coffee.

The 2012 Cooly Rocks On Entertainment Committee is working frantically behind the scenes locking in some fantastic bands for this year’s line-up.
Recently we have announced that the Atomic Hi-Tones will be playing at this years festival, we are sure that you will look forward to seeing their show as much as we are!

Exhibitors
We appreciate your patience in waiting for the 2012 Exhibitor sites to open. Bookings will be opening very soon so please be sure to stay tuned to your emails for advice as soon as these go live.
New Exhibitors are also welcome to express an interest at having a stall at that time, keep your eye on these e-newsletters for announcement on when bookings will open. A quick note though, your stall must be 50s and 60s themed.
Craft Markets at Kirra will also be available for hand-made items (not just 50s and 60s) and details will be uploaded on to the website later in the year.
